Sooooo&#8230; Here&#8217;s my current routine:<\/p>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Co-wash every 3 days\n<ul>\n<li>I section and wash my hair with a co-wash cleanser such as\u00a0<i>Shea Moisture&#8217;s<\/i>\u00a0Co-wash Conditioner Cleanser or\u00a0<i>Eden&#8217;s<\/i>\u00a0All Natural CoWash. I also use conditioners such as\u00a0<i>Shea Moisture&#8217;s<\/i>\u00a0Curl &amp; Shine Conditioner or\u00a0<i>Alaffia&#8217;s<\/i>\u00a0Everday Shea Moisturizing or Coconut Super Hydrating Conditioners.<\/li>\n<li>After the wash I will deep condition if this is my second co-wash for the week see below in the &#8220;Shampoo&#8221; Wash section for more info about deep conditioning).<\/li>\n<li>I follow with\u00a0<i>Shea Moisture&#8217;s<\/i>\u00a0Yucca &amp; Baobab Thickening Growth Milk (hair) and olive and coconut oils (scalp and a little on hair)<\/li>\n<li>Finally, I use\u00a0<a title=\"Honeysuckle Kiss Leave-in\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thegoodhairshop.com\/#!product\/prd1\/501688991\/honeysuckle-kiss-leave-in-conditioner\" target=\"_blank\"><i>Numa&#8217;s<\/i>\u00a0Honeysuckle Kiss Leave-in Conditioner<\/a><\/li>\n<li>I usually twist-(out) using\u00a0<i>Camille Rose&#8217;s<\/i>\u00a0Almond Jai Twisting Butter (just a little for hold) or\u00a0<a title=\"Sweet Honey Pomade\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thegoodhairshop.com\/#!product\/prd1\/516942411\/sweet-honey-loc-%26-define-pomade\" target=\"_blank\"><i>Numa&#8217;s<\/i>\u00a0Sweet Honey Loc &amp; Define Pomade<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Shampoo&#8221; Wash every 2 weeks or when necessary\n<ul>\n<li>Pre-poo with olive and coconut oils (a lot on scalp and hair) and a conditioner such as\u00a0<i>Shea Moisture&#8217;s<\/i>\u00a0Curl &amp; Shine Conditioner or\u00a0<i>Alaffia&#8217;s<\/i>\u00a0Everday Shea Moisturizing or Coconut Super Hydrating Conditioners. After I apply the oils and conditioner I put on a conditioning cap and sit under a cap dryer for 20-30 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>I rinse my hair and wash with a natural\/organic ingredient (mostly) shampoo.\u00a0<i>Shea Moisture<\/i>\u00a0and\u00a0<i>Alaffia<\/i>\u00a0are the brands I&#8217;m currently using. I also have a little bit of\u00a0<i>Taliah Waajid <\/i>Clean and Curly Shampoo (gifted by a friend) left<i>.<\/i><\/li>\n<li>Depending upon the type of deep conditioning I plan on using, I may follow the shampoo with a standard conditioner.<\/li>\n<li>A deep condition is completed after my wash. I currently use Shea Moisture&#8217;s Deep Treatment or Anti-Breakage (I use a standard conditioner after my shampoo if I use this as a deep conditioner) Masques. I apply the product and sit under my cap dryer for another 20-30 minutes<\/li>\n<li>After I rinse the deep conditioner, I massage my scalp with olive and coconut oils (I rub a small amount of the oils on my hair).<\/li>\n<li>I seal everything in with\u00a0<i>\u00a0Numa&#8217;s<\/i>\u00a0Honeysuckle Kiss Leave-in Conditioner and style (<i>see twist-(out) above<\/i>).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>Other things I believe help &#8230;\n<ul>\n<li>A good multivitamin. I take food\/plant based vitamins because other vitamins, such as Centrum, make me\u00a0nauseous \ud83d\ude41 Currently I take\u00a0<i>Whole Foods<\/i>&#8216; Women&#8217;s Food Based Multi<\/li>\n<li>I also try to properly manage stress and exercise.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My hair isn&#8217;t very porous, thus I leave nothing to chance.
